On December 7, 2024, Club Mareva Beirut’s founders, Woody and Najat Abdo, had the honor of representing Lebanon at the grand finale of Trinidad’s 55th Anniversary celebrations in Doha, Qatar.
Hosted by Habanos, S.A., in collaboration with Phoenicia Cyprus Ltd. and Qatar Duty Free, the event was a fitting tribute to one of Cuba’s most iconic cigar brands.
The evening kicked off with Trinidad Topes and Vigía cigars during the cocktail hour, setting a sophisticated tone. A six-course dinner by Chef David Sosson followed, each course expertly paired with cigars like the Trinidad Robusto Extra, Cabildos, and Fundadores, elevating the tasting experience.
A highlight of the evening was a stunning performance by Lebanon’s Mayyas dance group, winners of America’s Got Talent 2022, a moment of immense pride for Najat and Wood. The night concluded with performances by Michel Khalife and The Managers, led by Alain Crevet of S.T. Dupont, bringing an electrifying end to the celebration.
Representing Lebanon at this prestigious gathering was a proud moment for Club Mareva, the only Lebanese retailer at the event. It was a testament to the brand's commitment to fostering the global cigar community and the enduring legacy of Trinidad cigars.
